According to the Minister for the Environment it tales 7litres of water to make a plastic bottle. and all because we are too timid to ask for tap water. Who is? Come out with me and I’ll show him who’s timid. Climate change means that more and more of us are carrying bottles of water in the summer.? That seems a good idea, you can always refill the bottle from the tap. But, what about designer water in restaurants.? The French have solved the problem again - designer glass re-useable carafs of chilled tap water! I don’t know if they charge for the carafs, but wouldn’t it be great if any money made on tap water went to provide a tube well in the developing World?
