Now thanks in part to the nimbys of the UK who want renewable energy at no cost to their environment an alternative had to be found. Will these people now say NO to nuclear? Well, they’ve had their chance now the government has made the decision for us, no more procrastination, it’s going to be nuclear because it is carbon neutral. THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MAY SHOCK.
The question that comes to mind is - Is the product of the cremation of the bodies of the dead uranium miners CARBON NEUTRAL? I think not. So, then do we only need to be Carbon Neutral locally? What about the Global effects, don’t they count any more?
My concern for the Global energy issue is my reason for saving energy myself. We built our first Solar water heater in 1970 when we lived in a bungalow. We now have a commercial solar water panel which is inexpensive and I’ll tell you about another day. My car is 10 years old and runs sweetly. Our house has 4 bedrooms is detached, double glazed and never cold. I have power saving devices that I have sourced for myself for my immersion heater, gas heating and cooking and electricity as well as my car.
I would like to share my finds with you by selling similar devices on-line and hope to have a website up soon to do just this. Then maybe, between those of us that really care, we can show the government that we don’t need any more nuclear power stations.
