How many poor tea pickers in Sri Lanka can afford large energy consuming electrical goods anyway?

Well at least taxes will bring in money for the Government.  It’s what is done with it then that matters. Build solar collectors, wind turbines or wave energy? We can live in hope.  At least they are making an effort which is more than can be said for the Bush Administration or much of Europe.  We are too good at talking and debating or ‘fiddling while Rome burns.”
