I have just picked up the News that China is about to build 97 NEW AIRPORTS.

At the end of September 2007 at the Reuter’s Environmental Summit it was reported that China had signed up to to get rid all ‘old’ light bulbs and change to low energy bulbs. (They shouldn’t have a supply problem, they make 70% of the total world output now!)

Ah! I have the answer. China is going to fit energy saving lightbulbs in the cabins of their gas guzzling planes at all of their airports. Forget carbon footprints. This is carbon bootprinting on a grand scale.
