Why is there so much trouble with flooding in the UK now? Global Warming and Climate Change people cry. OR, “it’s the drains!”
Another reason is that so much new building has taken place that has reduced the amount of open soil that can soak up heavy rainfall.

How can we help? One way is to get rid of patios and decking. Go back to grass or if you don’t like mowing have artificial grass like we have in our front garden.
