There have been those who have said for yours that radio waves are harmful to us. Why? They say that the use of mobile phones can cause ultimate brain damage or at worst permanent damage to DNA. If true this would cause genetic diseases yet unknown, deformed babies – the list goes on. So, what if within five years there were to be more web-connected Mobile devices than people on Earth. I will give you a taster – As a result, global mobile data traffic is expected to rise 18-fold to 10.8 exabytes per month. That’s a run rate of 130 exabytes per year, the equivalent to 33 billion DVDs or 4.3 quadrillion MP3 files (music/audio).

“By 2016, 60% of mobile users – 3 billion people worldwide – will belong to the ‘Gigabyte Club,’ each generating more than one gigabyte of mobile data traffic per month,” said Suraj Shetty, vice president of product and solutions marketing at Cisco.

“We have seen a massive accelleration of the speed with which these glaciers are moving into the sea. The ice is moving at 2 meters an hour on a front 5Km long and 1,500 meters deep. That means that this one glacier puts enough fresh water into the sea in one year to provide drinking water for a city the size of London for a year”.
